About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our established Residential Team at Bay View Childcare. As a key member of our team, you will work in one of our family feel children's homes in Heysham or rural North Lancaster, supporting young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide high-quality childcare and support to young people, ensuring their safety, security, and well-being at all times.
  • To build and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and external agencies, promoting a culture of trust and mutual respect.
  • To contribute to the development of individual care plans, ensuring that the needs of each young person are met and their progress is monitored and evaluated.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment, adhering to Ofsted standards and Bay View Childcare policies and procedures.
  • To engage in activities with young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development, and providing opportunities for them to learn and grow.

Requirements

  • A Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People or Level 4 Children, Young People and Families practitioner Apprenticeship (or equivalent).
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality childcare and support, with a focus on promoting the well-being and success of young people.
