Worldpay is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in London. As a key member of our FX & Treasury Platform Department, you will play a crucial role in delivering online payment services to our customers.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and collaborative individual who can work closely with Solution Architects to assist in commissioning effective scalable solutions for the platform. You will be responsible for producing well-structured, maintainable, reliable, and fit-for-purpose code and unit tests of the highest quality, following SOLID principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with Solution Architects to assist in commissioning effective scalable solutions for the platform
  • Producing well-structured, maintainable, reliable, and fit-for-purpose code and unit tests of the highest quality following SOLID principles
  • Producing system requirements and estimates from business requirements
  • Proactively identifying and suggesting improvements and enhancements to working practices
  • Demonstrating a can-do attitude and a sense of responsibility for the wider implications of software engineering across the entire department
  • Demonstrating a flexible approach necessary for the role as business requirements and their relative priorities are subject to review and change
  • Driving and developing strong software development teams
  • Identifying and proactively dealing with impediments
  • Assisting QA Engineers, fellow Software Engineers, and Support Teams as required
  • Developing new applications and tools, analyzing current applications and processes, and making recommendations
