About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Functional Skills Tutor to join our team at Army Foundation College in Harrogate. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to 16 and 17-year-old Junior Soldiers, helping them to develop their English, Maths, and/or ICDL skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English, Maths, and/or ICDL to Junior Soldiers
  • Manage up to 8 classes and provide cover for colleagues when needed
  • Invigilate examinations as required

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status or a willingness to work towards it
  • L3 Qualification in the subject you will teach
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English/Maths and/or ICT (desirable)
  • Experience working with the Military or other uniformed services (desirable)
