About the Role

This exciting position requires a highly self-motivated individual with a great attitude towards learning and a commitment to delivering exceptional standards of food, cleanliness, and hygiene. As a Culinary Operations Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include ensuring food safety and hygiene within designated kitchen areas, training junior staff members, and contributing to menu development as needed.

Main Responsibilities
  • Accountable for maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene within specified kitchen areas.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior kitchen staff, ensuring they understand proper food storage, rotation, and disposal procedures.
  • Participate in menu development initiatives, suggesting new ideas and improvements.
  • Prepare fresh foods to an exemplary standard daily, adhering to portion control and raw ingredient management guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate stock management, storing ingredients securely at correct temperatures and rotating stock effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety directives during food preparation.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar kitchen environment.
  • Methodical approach to work, able to remain calm and organised under pressure.
  • Precise planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback as required.
  • Level 2 Food Safety in Catering or equivalent qualification.

Please note that successful candidates will be required to complete online training modules prior to commencement, covering essential topics such as Health and Safety and Food Hygiene. You will also receive a thorough induction and on-the-job training from experienced colleagues, ensuring your success in this role.
