Senior Manager Actuarial Advisory

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Actuarial Advisory team in London. As a Senior Manager, you will provide expert guidance on a wide range of Life Actuarial issues, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance and risk advisory, regulatory advisory including section 166 skilled person reviews, portfolio transfers, actuarial loss-reserving and pricing, taxation, solvency and regulatory compliance, management information systems, litigation support and forensic accounting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance on Life Actuarial issues, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance and risk advisory, regulatory advisory including section 166 skilled person reviews, portfolio transfers, actuarial loss-reserving and pricing, taxation, solvency and regulatory compliance, management information systems, litigation support and forensic accounting.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Lead and manage a team of actuaries to deliver high-quality advice and services to clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
- Significant insurance actuarial experience and a qualified Life insurance actuary.
- Strong technical actuarial knowledge.
- A high standard of IT literacy, including a strong working knowledge of MS Excel and a willingness to learn additional applications (e.g., Access, SQL, R).
- Influencing skills both internally and externally.
- Experience with delegation and overseeing reviewing the work of student actuaries.
- Ability to meet deadlines and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
