About the Role

WSH Support Office is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Commercial and Procurement to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of commercial and procurement strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category management strategies to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and enhance the overall procurement function.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including commercial finance, supply chain, and operations teams, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Lead the procurement process for disposables and consumables, including packaging, chemicals, janitorial, stationery, and uniforms, ensuring compliance with WSH standards and ESG targets.
  • Collaborate with the head of wholesale to define category strategies and develop effective project pipelines that align with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain an effective network of internal stakeholders to support procurement objectives and drive supplier compliance.
  • Ensure full compliance with contract governance activity, process, and timescales, and support the delivery of WSH ESG targets.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement and commercial roles, with a strong understanding of category management and supplier relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills, with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems, and familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to balance operational delivery and strategic thinking.
  • Highly organized and efficient, with sound project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
