Private Client Solicitor Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Private Client Solicitor to join our team in Guildford. As a Private Client Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling will, power of attorney, trust, probate, and tax advice work for private clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage support services, including supervision of your own secretary if applicable.
2. Utilize the skills of department trainees and assist with their training.
3. Exercise financial control, including cash-flow management through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
4. Participate fully in team activities and assist during the absence of other fee earners.
5. Perform work outside of normal hours when required.
6. Travel to client meetings within and outside the UK as necessary.
7. Ensure compliance with Lexcel and other regulatory procedures.
8. Develop and maintain a client/referrer base.
9. Properly refer work to relevant departments and develop work for other departments.
10. Supervise junior members of staff where applicable.
11. Contribute to practice development.

Requirements:

1. A good honours degree.
2. Willingness to participate in firm activities outside of work within your assigned department.
3. Interpersonal, social, and communication skills, including an appreciation of client vulnerability.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure.
5. Computer literacy with the ability to develop its use in your functional area.
