Care Worker Role

Peterborough City Council is seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join its care team at Clare Lodge, a secure all-female children's home.

As a care worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to young people with complex needs. You will be responsible for promoting their well-being, safety, and overall quality of life.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a genuine passion for working with young people. Previous experience in childcare or a related field is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Deliver high-quality care and support to young people, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, based on mutual respect and trust.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe and supportive environment, conducive to young people's growth and development.
  • Engage in regular activities and outings with young people, promoting their socialization and integration into community life.
