The Primary School is seeking a skilled Pastoral Support Assistant to join their team. This role will involve working with children and young adults, providing pastoral support and addressing behavioral and attendance issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a pastoral setting, establishing positive relationships and dealing with challenging pupils. They will be patient, tolerant, and sensitive, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

The role will also involve providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, managing behavior issues, and participating in pastoral team meetings. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide confidential administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support efforts to improve student behavior and share good pastoral practice with colleagues.
  • Ensure paperwork is kept up to date and accurately recorded.
  • Provide reports and management information for internal and external audiences.
  • Organize and represent the school at meetings with outside agencies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a pastoral setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong administrative skills, including Microsoft Office.

Desirable Criteria:

  • A sound knowledge and understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion issues.
  • Previous experience of working in a pastoral support role.
