About the Role



We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Clinical Education team as a Neonatal Clinical Educator Specialist. This exciting opportunity will enable you to utilize your passion for education and training to empower staff development within the neonatal unit.



The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the learning and continuing development of all staff within the department, ensuring education is responsive to service developments. They will ensure education and clinical skills are delivered in line with key priorities and objectives within neonates for staff to deliver safe and excellent patient care. In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, they will be required to develop and maintain an evidence-based service for education and support technology-based education resources.



Main Responsibilities



  • Coordinate and provide induction training for all new staff working on the Neonatal unit
  • Assist in supporting and evaluating learning contracts and objectives for staff, working in conjunction with the Lead Neonatal Clinical Educator
  • Ensure clinical practice is evidence-based or peer-reviewed best practice
  • Contribute to the development of policies, protocols, guidelines, and documentation in the Neonatal Service
  • Devise individual training plans for staff that are either new in post or requiring specific support or training


Requirements



  • Active registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (Child or Adult)
  • Post-registration teaching qualification
  • Evidence of continuous professional development including NLS
  • Good computer skills and ability to use a variety of computer software packages


Payscale Information



We anticipate offering a salary in the range of £40,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that this information is an estimate based on national averages for similar roles within the NHS sector.
