We're seeking an HR Relations Specialist to join our team at Matthew Walker Christmas Puddings, a renowned UK-based company known for its rich heritage and beloved brands. Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely, practical, and proactive employee relations support and advice to employees and managers across the UK. This includes policy interpretation, conflict resolution, performance management, and ensuring consistently fair and impartial handling of cases.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days based at our site in Heanor, however, travel across our UK sites will also be required due to business and team needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide timely, practical, and proactive employee relations support and advice to employees / Managers across the UK.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances, ensuring consistently fair and impartial handling of cases.
  • Collaborate with managers / HRBPs to address performance-related issues and develop appropriate corrective action plans.
  • Maintain the accuracy and up-to-date status of cases.
  • Stay updated with employment laws and regulations, providing guidance to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
About You

We're looking for an individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent collaboration skills, and adaptability to operate at all levels of the organisation. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of HR policies and practices, as well as proven experience in Employee Relations.

A salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) is offered for this exciting opportunity.
