As a Planner with Policy Expertise at the Vale of Glamorgan Council, you will be part of a dynamic planning policy team responsible for shaping the future of our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and assist with all tasks related to the work of the Planning Policy team.
  • Engage and work with stakeholders, including statutory consultees, the public, politicians, and developers.
  • Conduct desk-based and field research to gather evidence informing decision-making.
  • Prepare reports to inform decision-making.

About You

We are looking for a hard-working and committed planner with:

  • A minimum of two years' relevant experience.
  • Experience of working with stakeholders and preparing reports.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Development Plan system in Wales.
  • Working knowledge of relevant national, regional, and local planning legislation and policies.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
