The role of a Mechanical Engineer at Nuvia UK is to collaborate with various disciplinary engineers and project managers to ensure the implementation and success of decommissioning activities on various systems.



This is a key role where you will be investigating engineering designs, including physical inspections, establishing disassembly strategies, preparing plans, and conducting risk assessments.



Main Responsibilities:




  • Investigate engineering designs, including physical inspections.
  • Establish disassembly strategies, prepare plans, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Manage technical documentation related to the disassembly of systems using management systems and SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Stakeholders to provide regular reports and progress towards the completion of assigned work packages.
  • Support the project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget.


Requirements:



To be considered for this role, you should have:




  • HND, degree, or equivalent in engineering.
  • Experience working in a technical role, ideally in an engineering, nuclear, or defense environment.
  • Understanding of the engineering process, including system design and Electrical/Mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience in project planning and estimating.
  • CAD software experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting highly complex projects.
