Your Role

As a Materials Technologist, you will be at the forefront of innovation, exploring material properties and overcoming challenges for our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project work, liaising with colleagues and other teams within technology.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging materials and technologies.
  • Manage your own CPD and assist with colleagues' development.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers, presenting a positive image of JW.
  • Drive the development of new materials within the business.
  • Travel within the UK and overseas as necessary.
  • Prepare and present technical papers at conferences.
  • Assist with promotional literature and training sessions.
  • Provide technical support to customers and JW Group companies.
  • Review patent applications and monitor materials development.

About You

  • Hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous experience as a Technologist in a similar role.
  • Strong project leadership and technical presentation skills.
  • Proven record of success in managing development in this area of technology.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a science-based subject; other qualifications or relevant experience may be accepted.
