About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Children's Services team in Sheffield. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers to ensure high-quality practice and effective case management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve outcomes for children and families, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and managers on child protection and social work practice.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.

Requirements
  • Qualified and registered social worker with significant post-qualification experience in child protection.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and other agencies.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Children Act 1989 and the Care Act 2014.
