We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our development team in Oxford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing industry-leading hardware products, including high-speed motion capture and video cameras, calibration devices, and synchronization and networking equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic engineering, with experience in designing and developing products for manufacture. You will be working alongside a team of electronic, mechanical, and software design engineers to create high-performing and cost-effective solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing electronic hardware products, including high-speed motion capture and video cameras, calibration devices, and synchronization and networking equipment
  • Working with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet regulatory compliance and have appropriate test coverage for development and manufacture
  • Collaborating with software and mechanical design engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers

Required skills and knowledge include:

  • High-speed digital design experience
  • Working knowledge of analogue design and experience of developing products for manufacture with an emphasis on DFM/DFT
  • Experience with VHDL/Verilog for FPGAs, including implementation of algorithms
  • Strong understanding of image sensors, optics, Ethernet, and RF design
  • Education to degree level in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10+ years of relevant industry experience
