About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Statistician in Computational Biology to join our team at the Francis Crick Institute. The successful candidate will have a strong background in statistical analysis, computational biology, and leadership.

The primary responsibility of this role will be to lead high-level research projects and provide expert statistical analysis and advice to support research initiatives across various departments within the institute.

In addition to leadership and statistical expertise, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with scientists from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead high-level research projects and provide expert statistical analysis and advice.
  • Develop and implement new statistical methods for data analysis.
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop novel research approaches for data analysis.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A PhD in a relevant field such as statistics, computational biology, or leadership.
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as R, Python, or C++.
  • Strong experience in leadership and statistical analysis.
Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is £90,000 - £120,000 depending on experience.
