We are seeking a highly motivated Therapeutic Support Worker for Children and Adolescents to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a Band 6 Community Adult Speech and Language Therapist, you will work closely with staff from other agencies to promote high standards of care for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental conditions.

Your key responsibilities will include contributing to diagnostic assessments by undertaking specific tasks as required, providing support to families and young people through group-based workshops and interventions, and delivering 1:1 support to meet agreed outcomes and as agreed with families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to diagnostic assessments by undertaking specific tasks as required.
  • Provide support to families and young people through group-based workshops and interventions.
  • Deliver 1:1 support to meet agreed outcomes and as agreed with families.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders and their impact on families, as well as excellent knowledge and skills in child safeguarding policy and procedures.

RequirementsEssential Qualifications
  • Registered Speech & Language Therapist.
  • Post registration training.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Other relevant courses or training.
ExperienceEssential Experience
  • Working with children or adults with neurodivergence.
  • Managing support staff.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience working with children with other disabilities or medical conditions.
Salary and Benefits

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

Please note that we are unable to provide further information regarding the salary due to data protection guidelines. The estimated salary range is based on industry standards for a Band 6 practitioner in the NHS.
