Maxillofacial Prosthetist

We are seeking an experienced Maxillofacial Prosthetist / Reconstructive Healthcare Scientist to provide support and cover for our Maxillofacial Prosthetist in H&N Oncology and Trauma support.

The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplined team providing cover across 2 sites, supporting 5 Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, 3 Orthodontic Consultants, and 1 Restorative Dentistry Consultant and their clinical teams.

The modern fully equipped laboratories offer 3D surgical planning and printing, comprehensive clinical photography, and full technical and clinical service to the trust and external users.

• Provide support and cover for the Maxillofacial Prosthetist in H&N Oncology and Trauma support
• Work in a multi-disciplined team providing cover across 2 sites
• Liaise with other healthcare professionals to take an active role in service and patient pathway relating to Maxillofacial Prosthetics, Maxillofacial surgery, and 3D virtual surgical planning
• Communicate effectively with consultants and other healthcare professionals regarding patients' care plans, anatomical anomalies, and technical requirements
• Provide training, guidance, and advice to other laboratory staff, clinicians, and healthcare professionals

The ideal candidate will have experience in Maxillofacial Prosthetics, Maxillofacial surgery, and 3D virtual surgical planning. They will be able to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team and communicate complex information to consultants and other healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will be able to provide highly complex and specialized 3D Head and Neck Oncology, Orthognathic, and Trauma surgical virtual planning services with a high degree of individual responsibility.
