Job Title: Pharmacy Lead – SACT

Circle Health Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Lead to join our team in a SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) role.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal and safe use of medicines to all patients receiving SACT medication. This will involve working closely with the multidisciplinary oncology team to provide expert advice on the management, prescribing, clinical use, and procurement of medication prescribed and administered within an oncology facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the optimal and safe use of medicines to all patients receiving SACT medication
  • Ensure that all prescribing is on the CHG electronic software
  • Request new protocols in a timely manner
  • Influence and promote evidence-based medicine and nationally published best practice for this patient group
  • Provide expert advice to support the management, prescribing, clinical use, and procurement of medication prescribed and administered within an oncology facility
  • Motivate and inspire pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to adopt ownership of responsibility for medicine management services within an oncology facility
  • Member of the Hospital multidisciplinary oncology team
  • Support the development and local implementation of corporate and hospital prescribing guidelines, and new oncology policies
  • Provide an educational resource for the hospital to staff and patients with respect to medicines prescribed and administered in oncology facilities
