Circle Health Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Lead – SACT to join our dynamic oncology team.

In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients receiving SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy). Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in shaping best practices within our oncology facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the optimal and secure administration of medications to all patients undergoing SACT treatment.
  • Ensure adherence to established prescribing protocols within the CHG electronic system.
  • Proactively initiate requests for new protocols to enhance patient care.
  • Champion evidence-based medicine and nationally recognized best practices for this specialized patient population.
  • Provide expert guidance to healthcare professionals on medication management, prescribing, clinical utilization, and procurement within the oncology setting.
  • Inspire and motivate pharmacists and other healthcare team members to embrace responsibility for medication management services in our oncology facility.
  • Collaborate effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary oncology team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital-wide prescribing guidelines and new oncology policies.
  • Serve as an educational resource for staff and patients regarding medications prescribed and administered in our oncology facilities.
Qualifications:
  • Possess a degree in Pharmacy (MPharm, BPharm, or BSc. (Pharmacy)) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician.
  • Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience working within a hospital pharmacy department in the UK.
  • Exhibit proven experience in team management, mentoring, and budget oversight.
  • Display strong organizational and planning skills, including risk management.
  • Possess a results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effectively conveying information to diverse audiences across various levels within the hospital.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the General Pharmaceutical Council's Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics, and Performance, and their implications for practice.
  • Be knowledgeable about the Care Standards Act and Care Quality Commission Requirements.
