We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatch and Warehouse Assistant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for preparing client orders for dispatch, assisting with site activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities- Pick and prepare sales orders of wine for dispatch to customers in a timely manner, ensuring packaging and dispatched items meet brand and regulatory standards.
- Assist with all site activities, including receiving, storage, shipping, and logistics-related troubleshooting.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork or electronic records relating to dispatched items, stored items, and deliveries received.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, and receive and process returned goods promptly to ensure inventory remains accurate.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in the course of daily duties.
- Assist training for temporary agency staff, ensuring any unsafe or quality issues are reported promptly.
- Participate in monthly stock inventory counts, and assist with general operations at Unit 4 warehouse.
- Communicate and report any facility-related matters to Estate Office and/or Building Maintenance Technician.
- Assist with the security of the building, daily opening and closing of site, and daily security diligence.
- Comply with all relevant company SOPRAs and health and safety policies and practices.
- Deputise for Dispatch Manager in case of absence or holiday.
- Experience in order picking, packing, and preparing sales orders for dispatch while ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards.
- Hands-on experience with receiving, storing, shipping, and troubleshooting logistics-related issues.
- Proven ability and certification in operating a forklift safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding and experience in adhering to health and safety regulations, particularly within a warehouse setting.
- Experience in training and supervising temporary staff, with a focus on ensuring safe practices and high-quality work.
- Background in managing daily facility operations, including security tasks such as opening, closing, and maintaining building security.
