Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at Nyetimber. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for preparing client orders for dispatch, assisting with site activities, and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
Responsibilities- To pick and prepare sales orders of wine for dispatch to customers in a timely manner to meet all shipping deadlines, ensuring that packaging and all dispatched items meet brand and regulatory standards.
- Assist with all site activities including receiving, storage, shipping, and any logistics related troubleshooting.
- Accurate completion of all required paperwork or electronic records relating or dispatched items, stored items and deliveries received.
- Always maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
- Receive and process returned goods promptly to ensure inventory remains accurate.
- Operate a forklift in the course of daily duties in the most safe, appropriate, correct, and quick way.
- Assist training for temporary agency staff, ensuring any unsafe or quality issues are reported promptly.
- To participate in the monthly stock inventory counts, for any goods on site.
- Assist with general operations at Unit 4 warehouse and communicate/report any facility related matters to Estate Office and/or Building Maintenance Technician.
- Assist with the security of the building, daily opening and closing of site, and daily security diligence.
- To comply with all accreditation or other standard relating to winemaking production.
- Comply with all relevant company SOPRAs and ensure to comply with company health and safety policies and practices.
- Deputise for Dispatch Manager in case of absence or holiday.
- Be proactive in proposing solutions to any problems seen or discovered.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in order picking, packing, and preparing sales orders for dispatch while ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards. You should also have hands-on experience with receiving, storing, shipping, and troubleshooting logistics-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
