Financial Controller – High Growth, Tech Sector

Abacus is working exclusively with a highly successful Belfast-based technology business for the appointment of Financial Controller.

The Financial Controller is a newly created position for a senior and experienced professional to oversee the finance function, liaise with senior management and ultimately guide the business through the planned period of profitable growth ahead.

  • Oversee the finance function and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Liaise with senior management and provide strategic financial guidance.
  • Draft reports and information for annual accounts submission in partnership with external Accountants.
  • Improve systems and processes within the finance function.
  • Manage and develop finance staff.
  • Account for international transactions and perform process mapping.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (CCAB – ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
  • 5 years or more experience working in a commercial entity.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and competent user of accounting software (Sage, Xero or similar).
  • Knowledge and experience of the global technology sector.
  • Bonus payment up to 20% of salary.
  • Highly flexible working model (1-3 days in office per week).
