Field Service Engineer Opportunity

Pyramid8 is collaborating with a leading Life Science business in Sheffield to find a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to transition from laboratory work to a field service engineer position or those with experience in the Life Sciences sector.

The company, a world-renowned manufacturer and supplier of instrumentation and software, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide technical support, software support, and operator training to customers. This role involves extensive travel within the UK, with opportunities for European and worldwide travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • On-site installation and operator training of instruments and software
  • Preventative maintenance and qualification (IQ/OQ)
  • Diagnosis and repair of systems
  • Pre- and post-sales support
  • Scheduling and prioritizing of service jobs
  • Effective communication with customers
  • Assist as needed with product demonstrations
  • Prepare/submit service reports to customers
Requirements
  • Experience/knowledge of Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) or Liquid Scintillation Counting
  • Full driving licence
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Highly motivated and have strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Computer experience and proficiency

Desirable Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical or Nuclear Medicine industries
  • Experience of working with radioactivity would be an advantage
