Babcock International Group is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team at our Devonport site. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the lead Project Manager and contributing to the success of our projects.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing tasks, contributing to the project lifecycle, and applying project management competencies to the required level. Your duties will include:

  • Procurement: securing resources needed for projects from internal and external providers.
  • Requirements Management: negotiating and influencing skills to arrive at agreed schedules of requirements.
  • Solution Development: determining the best means of satisfying requirements within project objectives and constraints.
  • Schedule Management: developing, baselining, and monitoring integrated schedules to inform project direction.
  • Resource Management: identifying and scheduling resources required to implement projects.

This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience explaining how their behaviours contribute to team achievement.
  • Experience explaining how their wider team contributes to business unit success.
  • Ability to take informed decisions impacting others.
  • Supporting team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Solving complex problems affecting others.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional Route: degree in engineering or project management, or APM accreditation.
  • Experiential Route: HNC with relevant apprenticeship or experience in engineering or project discipline.
  • Demonstrable knowledge or experience of working with common project tools (MS Office, Project, etc.).

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
