At RGB Network, we are seeking a talented Graduate/Assistant M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Kent. As a Data Centre Specialist with a presence nationally and across Europe, we design, build & project manage data centres across the UK and in Europe.

The Role: Graduate M&E Quantity Surveyor

This is an excellent opportunity for a mouldable graduate to work closely with our Commercial Manager and Managing Director, reporting on project costs and expenditures, tracking variations, and assisting in the preparation of cost reports.

  1. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for M&E projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  2. Procurement: Collaborate with our procurement team to source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and select vendors.
  3. Bill of Quantities: Assist in preparing detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) and schedules of rates for M&E elements of construction projects.
  4. Tendering Process: Support our senior quantity surveyor in the tendering process, analysing and evaluating tender submissions, selecting subcontractors, and preparing tender reports.
  5. Contract Administration: Assist in preparing, reviewing, and administering contracts, including subcontract agreements, variations, and change orders.
  6. Cost Control: Monitor project costs and expenditures, track variations, and assist in preparing cost reports.
  7. Valuations and Payments: Prepare interim and final valuations for M&E works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements, and review subcontractor payment applications.
  8. Cost Reporting: Contribute to regular cost reporting to the project team and clients, providing updates on project financial status, variations, and cash flow projections.
  9. Claims and Dispute Resolution: Evaluate and prepare claims, and participate in dispute resolution processes, such as negotiations and mediation.
  10. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • UK Drivers Licence
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Knowledge of M&E Services
  • Ideally experience working within an M&E Contractor
  • Be located in or close to Kent
  • Be happy to travel Nationally and in Europe
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of up to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including 25 days holiday, Christmas off, BH, Company Bonus Scheme, Private Healthcare, Pension, and opportunities to work Nationally & in Europe.
