M&E Quantity Surveyor

RGB Network is seeking a Graduate M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Kent. The successful candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, knowledge of M&E Services, and ideally experience working within an M&E Contractor. The role involves working closely with the Commercial Manager and reporting to the Managing Director. Key responsibilities include cost estimation, procurement, bill of quantities, tendering process, contract administration, cost control, valuations and payments, cost reporting, and claims and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will have a UK driver's licence, be located in or close to Kent, and be happy to travel. They have a turnover of £100million and employ 35 staff in the UK. Project values range from £1.6million to £62million. The company is seeking a mouldable Graduate M&E Quantity Surveyor who will work directly underneath the Commercial Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates and budgets for M&E projects, collaborating with the procurement team to source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, and assisting in the preparation of detailed bills of quantities and schedules of rates for M&E elements of construction projects. The role also involves supporting the senior quantity surveyor in the tendering process, including analysing and evaluating tender submissions, assisting with subcontractor selection, and preparing tender reports. The successful candidate will be required to monitor project costs and expenditures, track variations, and assist in the preparation of cost reports. They will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation of interim and final valuations for M&E works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
