Location: Runcorn

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm

Contract: Long-term, Full-time

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and work with a pupil on a 1:1 basis. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and SEN coordinators to adapt and differentiate curriculum materials.
  • Help students develop essential life skills and social skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to students to build their confidence and self-esteem.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and SLCN.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's educational and emotional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or SEN support (desirable but not mandatory).
