We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Driffield Camp CTC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the food preparation and health and safety of our site, ensuring that we provide high-quality meals to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for food preparation and health and safety
- Lead on food production, ordering, service, and stock takes
- Ownership of financial performance of the unit
- Oversee the GSAs and any agency staff required
- Ensure all company and legal H&S policies are adhered to
- Support General Manager with finances for the site for monthly reporting
- Ensure company menu cycles and recipes are followed
- Manage a team of Chefs on site, responsible for all Chefs/Back of house team members
- Place orders and manage stock and wastage
- Prepare menus for functions and other special events
- Use Aramark systems (OPX, Aratrade, Myworklife etc)
- Oversee production throughout
- Process payroll, create rotas, and cover holidays
- Complete daily checks and paperwork efficiently
- Ensure food is correctly stored according to food safety policies and guidelines
- Manage costs and end of month IT reports
- Ensure all staff training is up to date and daily duties are delegated
- NVQ level 3 Culinary or equivalent
- DBS checks required to complete your application
- Previous experience managing a kitchen and large team
- Confident using the PC and accessing a variety of systems
- Confident chef and leader, able to coach and mentor GSA's
- Experience in our systems is desirable, however training will be given to the successful candidate
