Following significant growth in the use of arbitration as the preferred method of international dispute resolution, there has been an increased demand for this organisation's services. As a result, it is recruiting another Casework Administrator to join its highly personable and effective team responsible for the day-to-day administration of cases.

The Role

As a Case Management Specialist, you will report to the Senior Counsel of your assigned team and have your own docket of cases. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising casework accounting matters in liaison with LCIA accounting staff
  • Liaising with arbitrators to receive their fee notes (invoices) and receipts
  • Communicating with arbitrators and their assistants concerning their fees and other case-related matters, including awards and the termination of proceedings
  • Monitoring, forecasting, and reporting the financial status of cases
  • Working closely with Counsel on the financial aspects of their cases, escalating issues where necessary
  • Preparing budgets for costs and calculating required Advance Payments for Costs
  • Updating the internal case management system

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years' relevant experience in a similar legal/ADR/professional environment and demonstrate knowledge and skills relevant to the functions contained within the detailed job description.

They must be highly numerate, meticulously organised, able to work well under pressure, proactively prioritise tasks, multi-task, and be reliable. They will also possess an acute attention to detail, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both orally and in writing.

A proficient knowledge of Spanish or French is beneficial but not essential.

Estimated Salary Range: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
