We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at YHA Borrowdale. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Hostel Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the hostel and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Hostel Manager in achieving targets across all aspects of hostel operation, including food and beverage, and revenue management.
- Manage a team of employees and occasional volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
- Contribute to the team effort in the day-to-day operation of the hostel, undertaking housekeeping, reception, and food and beverage tasks as required.
- Support the management of an operational budget and delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Previous leadership experience and experience managing budgets.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Basic IT skills and ability to work with various software systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of YHA's core purpose and values.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
