Cyber Security Education Specialist

At S Knights Recruitment, we specialize in Employability and Skills recruitment for Colleges and Training Providers across the UK. We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Tutor to deliver regulated and non-regulated qualifications/training to ESFA and DFE funded learners or other provisions where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver engaging lessons efficiently, ensuring competent delivery.
  • Deliver and assess accredited and non-accredited qualifications according to the established delivery schedule.
  • Utilize various digital media to deliver courses online, incorporating technology such as tablets and smartphones into your teaching, and leveraging interactive online resources to enable learner skill development.
  • Set and assess learner work products daily, providing timely feedback.
  • Complete identified remedial actions promptly to ensure learner achievement performance is included in the given month.
  • Monitor learners' progress throughout the course, against the specified criteria.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with qualification specifications.
  • Prepare educational materials to assist in stretching and challenging the learning.
  • Comply with copyright rules, sourcing material before photocopying.
  • Be prepared to deliver and assess a suite of work skills specialist programmes as required.
  • Effectively manage classes, challenging learners on attendance and punctuality in line with policy.
  • Regularly report back to HQ the attendance records throughout the course.
  • Substitute for other Trainers/Advisors in case of their absence, as mutually agreed with the Team Leader and/or Manager.
  • PARTICIPATE IN STANDARDISATION MEETINGS.
  • Liaise regularly with Advisors on learners' readiness for progression into employment, providing handover information to new or substitute trainers.
  • Adhere to the tidy desk policy, following all display screen assessment guidance, and be responsible for the equipment provided.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • Affordable Assessing qualification, TAQA, A1, or equivalent - Essential
  • PTTLS, DTTLS or equivalent - Desirable
  • Level 4 Cyber Security - Essential
  • Experience in delivering to post 16 - Essential
  • Experience of delivering Cyber Security to level 3 - Essential
  • Knowledge of Awarding Organisations; Edexcel, NCFE, C&G qualifications - Desirable
  • Experience of the welfare to work sector - Desirable
  • Experience of working with one file - Desirable
  • Embedding British Values, PREVENT and safeguarding into lessons - Essential
