About the Role

Opus Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Cheshire. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days on-site work per week and 2 days remote work from home.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 per annum, plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight and management of Admin Centre for smooth operation.
  • Management and optimisation of Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and Intune services to enhance productivity and security.
  • Serving as the final escalation point for complex technical issues, collaborating with first-line support and providing third-line support.
  • Maintenance and optimisation of the Azure Virtual Desktop environment for reliability and user satisfaction.
  • Creation and management of system permissions and user accounts for effective access control and security.
  • Collaboration with the Security team to patch vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and strengthen systems against potential threats.
  • Configuration of new applications and integration with Azure Active Directory (AAD), utilising technologies such as SAML, SSO, and others.
  • Deployment and maintenance of systems in compliance with hardening standards, ensuring a robust and secure IT infrastructure.
  • Update of the internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies to encourage knowledge sharing and streamlined operations.
  • Development and implementation of scripts to monitor systems, diagnose issues, and automate routine tasks for enhanced efficiency.
  • Monitoring of system performance and generation of reports to proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or issues.
  • Management of hardware and software upgrades, ensuring systems remain up-to-date and aligned with the organisation's evolving needs.
  • Troubleshooting of hardware and software errors, conducting diagnostics, documenting issues and solutions, prioritising problems, and evaluating their impact.
  • Assistance with implementing ISO 27001 controls and supporting audits to maintain security standards.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Intune, Exchange Online, Graph, Security Centre, and Purview.
  • Experience with Azure services and management tools (e.g., AVD, Sentinel, KQL).
  • Strong background in overseeing and managing IT infrastructure, including operating systems, applications, servers, network devices, and hardware components.
  • Experience with hardware/software upgrades, system deployments, and integration projects.
  • A willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving trends in IT, and continuously enhance technical skills.
  • Attention to detail when configuring and managing user permissions, system settings, and security configurations to prevent unauthorised access and risks.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Strong Communication skills.
  • AZ-104 Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert certification (or equivalent experience).
