Company Overview:


The Martin Group of Companies, established in 1976, offers a range of services including highways, waste recycling, engineering, and fencing and forestry solutions to central and local government, as well as large construction companies.



Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:


We are seeking an exceptionally organised and proactive Academic Human Resources Officer to support the provision of a professional and comprehensive HR service across the Group. This is a full-time permanent role that requires occasional travel to other Company locations across the UK.



Job Description:

This strategic HR business partner will contribute to the achievement of the vision, aims, and business objectives through the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures. Key responsibilities include recruiting, developing, motivating, and retaining staff of the required calibre, contributing to the HR function being seen as proactive, strategic, and efficient, and developing effective policies and procedures for the Group.



Key Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have proven ability of working at an operational level, providing a comprehensive and pragmatic HR service within a diverse and commercially driven organisation. You will also have experience of successfully handling legal employment matters with up-to-date employment law awareness and understanding of government policy and emergence of best practice. A CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent is desirable, along with evidence of continuing professional development over the past 12 months.
