Adventure Educator

Winner Education is seeking an experienced and innovative educator to join our team as an Adventure Group Tutor. This is a full-time permanent position that requires a passion for outdoor education and a commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences for young people with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver an innovative and creative Outdoor Education curriculum that engages and motivates learners.
- Use collaborative and multi-sensory approaches to deliver educational provision that meets the needs of learners with diverse abilities.
- Support learners in small group settings or one-to-one, using a variety of learning hubs and venues.
- Assist with the assessment, preparation, delivery, and review of learner curricula, including lesson plans and schemes of work.
- Ensure learner health and safety, and support the Outdoor Education Provision Manager in risk assessment and venue selection.
- Collaborate with the Outdoor Education Provision Manager to collect and collate learner information, and differentiate delivery to meet individual needs.
- Support the completion of assessments, pupil tracking documents, progress reports, and feedback reports to commissioning bodies.
Requirements:
- Flexibility and innovation in approach to teaching and learning.
- Previous experience working in an outdoor environment and with children, young people, or vulnerable adults in an education setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of teaching practice for young people with additional needs.
- Strong IT skills and ability to use a variety of software and systems.
- Hold an Outdoor specific qualification and a current and valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that makes a real difference to the lives of young people.
