We are seeking a highly skilled and inspirational Lecturer in English and Creative Writing to join our team at Plymouth University. This is a fantastic opportunity for an academic with research expertise in global and/or postcolonial literatures post 1800, who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students across a broad English and Creative Writing curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English and Creative Writing, including specialising in global and/or postcolonial literature
  • Co-supervise PhD projects on global and/or postcolonial literature
  • Develop and deliver innovative digital learning solutions, leveraging strong digital skills
  • Contribute to academic administration responsibilities and provide excellent support to students
Requirements
  • PhD (or equivalent expertise) in English and/or Creative Writing (or a related subject)
  • Ability to teach creatively and adapt to new learning systems and platforms
  • Experience of academic administration and pastoral care
