Job Title: First Line Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled First Line Manager to join our team at our Retail Operations Distribution Centre in Middlewich, Cheshire. As a First Line Manager, you will be responsible for managing, supporting, and developing our Operational colleagues, including Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day performance and delivery of business targets
  • Achieve and deliver individual and department KPI's and SLA's
  • Work closely with the Planning team and Operations Manager to manage resource and achieve large volume uplifts and equipment requirements
  • Ensure effective utilisation of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance and CAA and HMRC processes are adhered to at all times
  • Drive a culture of positive improvement and best practice
  • Support others to work in a customer and safety focused way


Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of managing large operational teams in a logistics/distribution environment, ideally including Team Leader level. You will be able to effectively communicate and build relationships across all levels and demonstrate strong leadership and management skills. Numerate with an aptitude for detail, you will have the ability to effectively manage resource and make considered decisions relating to deployment.
