Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive General Practitioner to become a vital part of our collaborative healthcare team at Birchwood Practice. This role has emerged due to an upcoming retirement, presenting a unique opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to our patient-centered approach.

Work Schedule

The position requires a commitment of 8 sessions per week, Monday through Friday.

As part of our team, you will collaborate with a range of healthcare professionals, including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, and Mental Health Practitioners, among others. This multidisciplinary approach enhances our ability to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding patient care in a primary care setting.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, addressing various health needs while ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, including setting care standards and auditing clinical outcomes.
  • Conduct screenings for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Maintain accurate and timely consultation records in accordance with established standards.
  • Prescribe medications in line with the practice's formulary and clinical guidelines.

Qualifications

Essential

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, with a current certificate of prescribed experience.
  • Full registration with the GMC and inclusion on the UK Medical Performers List.

Desirable

  • MRCGP or postgraduate diploma in a relevant specialty.
