We are seeking a psychology student with a keen interest in child development, special educational needs (SEN), and inclusive education to join our team as a SENCO Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the SENCO in planning, implementing, and reviewing strategies for children with additional learning needs.
- Observe and support individual students in the classroom to help with learning and behavior strategies.
- Assist with data collection and monitoring students' progress.
- Attend relevant staff meetings and training sessions.
- A psychology student (undergraduate or postgraduate) with an interest in educational psychology, special educational needs, or child development.
- A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach to working with children with additional needs.
- Prior experience working with children (e.g., volunteering, tutoring, or babysitting).
- Flexible working hours that can fit around your university schedule.
- Hands-on experience in a primary school setting, working directly with children and SEN professionals.
- Training and mentorship from experienced SENCO staff.
