Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: South East London

Job Type: Full Time

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a thriving school in South East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a year 7 student with ASD in a 1:1 setting, providing a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
* Develop and implement behaviour management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies
* Establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding
* Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals

Requirements:

* Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting
* Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
