About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Tilia Homes. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process of our new homes, ensuring that they are built to the highest standards of quality and safety.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with internal departments, external suppliers, and partners to ensure the build programme is achieved.
  • Coordinate labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme on larger developments.
  • Work with Sales to ensure smooth and controlled delivery of homes for customers.
  • Ensure compliance on site with company Health and Safety standards, NHBC standards, building regulations, and overall quality standards.
  • Undertake company-directed quality control procedures and inspections at the correct timings and rectify any defects.
  • Monitor and control the cost of production and approve payment to contractors and trades.
  • Initiate and attend plot inspections with the Local Building Inspector or NHBC and take corrective action to ensure a minimum of RI's/BRI's.
  • Work with the Contracts Manager to ensure the on-site construction team is fully resourced and well-directed.
  • Carry out toolbox talks and on-site briefings to influence, gain commitment, and drive best practice.
  • Deliver a high standard of site presentation at all times.
  • Carry out New Home Demos with the Sales Advisor and customer(s) to give a good demonstration of the home and answer any questions.
About You
  • You will have extensive experience of working to an established build programme and managing key priorities.
  • You will be a member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or qualified to NVQ level 5 in Construction Management, or a time-served tradesman with considerable experience of the full range of construction trades.
  • You will have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of construction and housebuilding, including Health and Safety, NHBC requirements, and Building Regulations.
  • You will have proven good leadership and the ability to consistently deliver on quality and weekly targets.
  • You will be an excellent communicator, with an emphasis on explaining detail and gaining full compliance.
  • You will be able to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs and demonstrate a strong problem-solving ability.
  • You will have a thorough knowledge and well-rounded experience of dealing with customers and potential customers, including giving information and advice, resolving customer issues, and confirming company procedures.
