Our client, a leading manufacturing firm, is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing standard costings, participating in annual budget setting processes, and analyzing budget vs actual performance.

Salary
The successful candidate can expect an annual salary of £42,500, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding skilled professionals like yourself.

Job Description
As a Cost Accountant, you will work closely with the production manager to maintain close working relationships and identify opportunities for cost savings. Your duties will include:

* Preparation and review of standard costings
* Participation in annual budget setting processes and meetings
* Quarterly and monthly analysis of budget vs actual performance, with detailed reviews and explanations
* Collaboration with finance and non-finance managers to establish and maintain tighter cost controls

Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in accounting, preferably CIMA or ACCA qualified. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
