Job Title: Children's Senior Social Worker/Senior Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Senior Social Worker/Senior Practitioner to join our team in Oxfordshire.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality social work services to children, young people, and their families. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with vulnerable children and families, and will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional social work services to a caseload of children, young people, and families, ensuring their views are heard and their needs are met.
  • Ensure the highest standards of professional practice, including good knowledge of relevant law, legislation, and policy.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to provide a comprehensive service to children and families.
  • Develop and implement effective plans to support children and families, including the use of the FSP Workbook modules and a strengths-based approach.
  • Prepare and submit written reports as required, including child protection conference reports and legal reports for care proceedings.
  • Attend conferences, reviews, and court as required, presenting plans clearly and professionally.
  • Ensure the Assistant/Team Manager is kept fully informed of significant information about allocated families, seeking advice as needed.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker with a CSW/CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA in Social Work.
  • Proven post-qualifying experience in working with children's services.
  • Current Social Worker England registration.
  • Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
  • Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people.
