Production Manager Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team at Vickerstock. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our business and driving Operational Excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Creation and implementation of the production plan, maximizing yield and minimizing downtime and waste, according to set targets.
  • Ensuring all production staff are operating at full optimisation and production processes are running efficiently across the business.
  • Maintenance of Quality Management systems and standards.
  • Recommendation of improvement of the production processes to include efficiency, quality, and safety.

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience within a manufacturing environment at a similar level.
  • High-level understanding of operating integrity, quality systems, and compliance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Flexibility with regards to working hours to ensure sufficient management of night and weekend shifts.

**Desirable Qualifications**

  • Understanding of MRP systems.
  • Experience in Lean initiatives.
  • NEBOSH certificate.
