Job Summary:

Hunter Selection Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for leading the finance department and implementing robust financial structures to support the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial resources and provide leadership to the finance team
  • Ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Implement best practices and compliance with relevant regulations, including DfE and ESFA guidelines
  • Oversee financial systems and ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Prepare financial statements and budgets
  • Monitor financial performance, including payroll and pension management
  • Audit financial processes and ensure compliance

Requirements:

  • Experience as a head of finance, finance director, or senior finance position
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage a team of 6 direct reports
  • Experience with public finance and associated procedures and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working with multi-site organizations
  • Knowledge of ESFA and education sector regulations
  • CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification
