Cities, States and Regions Engagement Coordinator

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our 'Disclosure' team as a Cities, States and Regions Engagement Coordinator. This exciting internship opportunity will support engagement with cities, states, and regions to encourage them to report their environmental information through CDP.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the Annual Reporting Process: Assist in the annual reporting process for participating cities, states, and regions, including engagement tracker updates and progress reports.
- Encouraging Local and Regional Governments: Engage with local and regional governments to report their environmental information through CDP, using a range of outreach activities, including phone calls, emails, and mailouts.
- Designing and Delivering Events: Support the design and delivery of online events and workshops to promote CDP's work and engage with local and regional governments.
- Improving Data Quality: Provide technical support to improve the quality of reported data and develop relationships with local and regional governments.
- Managing Contacts: Develop and manage contacts with local and regional governments through CDP's customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Supporting Data Analysis: Assist in data analysis activities and create resources to showcase the value of disclosure.
- Supporting Campaigns: Support campaigns, such as the Race to Zero and Race to Resilience, and partnerships with organizations across the region.
- Recent Graduate: Recent graduate with experience working on cities and/or climate-related topics.
- Climate Change Knowledge: Understanding of climate change mitigation and adaptation in cities, particularly in the Global South.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly and succinctly.
- Customer-Facing Experience: Experience in delivering support in a customer/client-facing role in a multicultural setting.
- IT Skills: Very good MS Office skills and ability to quickly grasp new IT systems.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and commitment to achieving high standards.
- Environmental Education: Degree educated or equivalent in environment/sustainability/urban planning.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in French, Arabic, Swahili, Turkish, or Portuguese is a plus.
- Government Experience: Direct experience of working with government(s).
- Public Speaking: Experience of public speaking.
- Additional Language Skills: Proficiency in an additional European language.

This is a hybrid or remote role, with CDP's UK office based in London. The intern will report to the Manager, Middle East and Africa, Cities, States and Regions.
This is a fixed-term, 3 months contract, subject to a possible extension.
