Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our 'Disclosure' team as a Cities, States and Regions Engagement Coordinator. This exciting internship opportunity will support engagement with cities, states, and regions to encourage them to report their environmental information through CDP.
Key Responsibilities- Support the annual reporting process for participating cities, states, and regions, including engagement tracker updates and progress reports.
- Encourage local and regional governments to report their environmental information through CDP by providing personalized support and outreach activities.
- Assist in the design and delivery of online events and workshops to promote CDP's mission and services.
- Help improve the quality of reported data by providing technical support and guidance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional governments through CDP's customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Support data analysis activities and create resources to showcase the value of disclosure.
- Collaborate with the Cities, States and Regions Manager to achieve team objectives.
- Recent graduate with experience working on cities and/or climate-related topics.
- Understanding of climate change mitigation and adaptation in cities, particularly in the Global South.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly and succinctly.
- Experience in delivering support in a customer/client-facing role in a multicultural setting.
- Awareness of the role reporting plays in local climate governance and action.
- Very good MS Office skills and ability to quickly grasp new IT systems.
- Attention to detail and commitment to achieving high standards.
- Degree educated or equivalent in environment/sustainability/urban planning.
- Proficiency in French, Arabic, Swahili, Turkish, or Portuguese is a plus.
- Direct experience of working with government(s).
- Experience of public speaking.
- Proficiency in an additional European language.
As a Cities, States and Regions Engagement Coordinator, you will have access to training and development resources, flexible working opportunities, and a competitive compensation package. This is a hybrid or remote role, and you will report to the Manager, Middle East and Africa, Cities, States and Regions.
