Our Grant Management Group works closely with UK government departments and arm's length bodies to support medical and health research across the UK. We are expanding our expertise in technology transfer and are seeking a skilled Technology Transfer Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the commercialisation of intellectual property assets
  • Promote industrial engagement among researchers
  • Manage a reagents portfolio

Key Activities

  • Manage projects related to IP management and commercialisation
  • Collaborate with legal and patent subcontractors to resolve IP and commercialisation cases
  • Provide data analysis to support business case development for IP commercialisation
  • Deliver training on IP and commercialisation to researchers
  • Work with internal and external legal advice to review collaboration agreement issues
  • Ensure effective management of IP for specific cases
  • Support team members with technology transfer activities
  • Develop and promote industrial partnerships
  • Manage the reagents portfolio
  • Provide entrepreneurial training
  • Support due diligence reviews of applications to funding schemes

Requirements

  • Degree in life sciences with additional qualifications in business or law (advantageous)
  • Significant experience in technology transfer, commercialisation of complex IP, and patent portfolios
  • Experience in negotiating commercialisation licences and spin-out creation
  • Ability to communicate complex information on intellectual property and commercialisation

Working Arrangements

This is an office-based, hybrid role with an expectation of attending our offices in Victoria, London, usually 1-2 days per week, and may increase subject to team requirements.
