Patient Environment Services Supervisor

About the Role
The Patient Environment Services Supervisor will oversee a team of staff providing comprehensive portering, domestic cleaning, and site services at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring high standards of patient environmental site services, and providing excellent customer service.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and support Patient Environment Service Assistants and Domestic Assistants
- Carry out administration duties, including team appraisals and return to work sickness meetings
- Prioritize workload and staff location to provide a quality and efficient service
- Arrange duty rotas, plan and allocate holiday requests, and cover sickness
- Ensure correct usage of approved cleaning materials and review work schedules

Person Specification
- Relevant related NVQ 2 or equivalent experience or BICS qualification in cleaning sciences
- Demonstrate a period of leading a team within a busy environment, relevant supervisory experience, and experience working with computers and IT-based systems
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to deal with information sensitively and confidentially
- Deal with a diverse range of people face to face
- Able to demonstrate leadership skills, team building skills, and problem-solving methods
